FIRE DAMAGE RESTORATION

Fires can cause extensive damage to your home or business. We offer comprehensive restoration services, including cleaning, deodorization, and structural repairs.

x Restoration helps you to reduce the extent of the damage caused by fire to the minimum and bring normalcy back to your life and your properties.

Soot and smoke

Usually most of the damage done in a fire is not done by heat, but by the smoke and the soot produced. These travel throughout a home and get embedded in the surfaces of walls, ceilings, fittings, and furnishings. Identifying where soot and smoke have traveled is often difficult, but an essential part of complete restoration.

Dangerous contaminants

In a fire, many harmful toxins are released. These can cause respiratory or immune issues, and some are even carcinogenic. They are carried throughout the home in smoke and soot, and require experts to identify risk and determine the right restoration methods.

  • Once the insurance company approves your claim, they allocate a work order to Arch Project Group.

We can only proceed with any repairs once receiving formal approval from your insurer.

  • 1-2 weeks to schedule

Once we receive a work order, our office will make contact to advise. Works are typically scheduled within 1-2 weeks from receiving the work order but are dependent on material orders, trade availability and weather if external works.

  • 1-3 weeks to complete

While repairs are in progress, you will hear from our office regularly, either from our Project Coordinators or job Supervisor, with updates on your repairs and trade schedules.

  • Upon completion of the insurance works at your property, we complete a QA inspection of the completed works and ask you to complete a customer sign-off and satisfaction survey which provides you with the opportunity to provide any feedback on Arch Project Group.

  • Your insurer has acknowledged your claim and requires further information. If your property is deemed safe, the insurer will request a report to assess the damages.

However, if your property requires emergency repairs to prevent further damage or is unsafe to secure, the insurer will request a Make Safe.

  • 2-3 days from the date received

Your insurance company engages our team via a third party referred to a Panel Builder, to assess the claimed damages, complete a report, scope and quote on our findings.

The report is submitted to your insurer for review and to determine the outcome of your claim.

  • 2-8+ weeks

Once the report is submitted to your insurer, it may take 2-8+ weeks for your insurance company to review and advise on an outcome.

FAQs

  • We are engaged by your insurance company, through a third-party called a panel builder, to complete your insurance repairs.

  • Each claim with Arch Project Group has an allocated Supervisor and Project Coordinator who you can contact at any time during your claim.

  • Yes, all our trades are appropriately licensed and are required to be verified via our internal compliance process to ensure all licenses and insurances are adequate and current, prior to completing any works.

  • Occasionally the insurance company will engage more than one trade, this may be due to requiring a specialised trade (e.g. builder, roof plumber, plumber, etc.), or they may want a second opinion.

  • We may require two different trades attend to assess the damages at your property. For example, a roof leak has caused water to enter your property, we will require a roof plumber to attend to inspect the roof, and a builder to inspect the internal damages.

  • Unfortunately no, once completed the report is provided to the insurance company and we are unable to provide you a copy of the report or advise what was reported.

If you would like a copy, you can request one from the insurance company.

  • Our standard turn around time from report request received to report submitted is 2-3 business days.

  • Each insurance claim is different, so each repair cycle will be personalised to your property and suburb. The Supervisor and Project Coordinator in charge of your claim will be able to provide an estimated timeline at commencement and will keep you updated of any changes along the way.

  • Once a claim is approved it may take 1-2 weeks before the insurance company provides a work order, we can only commence any repairs once the work order has been received.

  • The insurance process can be lengthy, from claim submitted to works complete can take anywhere from 1-3+ months. Please refer to our timeline of repairs for further information.

  • As part of your insurance policy it is your responsibility to undertake property maintenance or repair pre-existing damage. In the event you cannot find a trade, please contact our office and we can either provide a quote or recommend a trade.

  • Our team can quote on any additional private works or renovations at your property, regardless of if you have an insurance claim or not.
